Really....how gross

I apparently have issues with my toenails this year! Check this out! How gross is this? Not to mention that the big toe on my other foot is craked half way down! YUCK!!!!!!

Sorry, just had to share....

Seriously....AGAIN!!

Well, it's happened AGAIN! And I can't even blame Bryan this time...for which he is THRILLED! He has been out of town. He comes home today from being gone all week long, I'm at that kitchen table with 2 girlfriends enjoying adult conversation and Bry comes in and says: "When did Cole cut his hair?"
"WHAT????!!!!" "Are you KIDDING me?" As I go running off to find Cole.
"Nope....can I blog this one!"
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

I find Cole and he's hiding from me as he didn't want Daddy to tell Mommy...not that he could have hid it. BUT, he went into the office got the scissors and went to our bathroom and went to my sink and decided to give his hair a few more whacks! Do you know that I have been trying to grow his hair out since the LAST time he did this??????

For those of you that missed it, click here. This is not Cole's first stab at cutting his own hair. What will I do with this boy? You can't help but laugh because he just looks at you with those big ole brown eyes and flashes that ever so sweet smile. So, you just laugh, beg him to never do it again, and squeeze him silly!

Thought you would enjoy round 2 of pictures! At least it wasn't quite as bad as last time.
Can you see the uneven-ness on the side? It was hard to picture, but there are clearly some baldy looking spots!!

There's no V this time, but we still have a little lop-sided action going on on the right. So much for growing it out.

The evidence on the sink. He had put the scissors away, but he didn't clean up the hair.

But how do you resist that smile and those eyes???

Why I am passionate about photography....

I wanted to take a minute to just share why I love photography so much. It's often hard to explain to friends and family why I love taking pictures and why I love to capture that one special moment for my clients. But I believe this will help you understand.

I photographed sweet little Annabelle in May. She was 6 months old at the time. This little girl's daddy passed away when she was 3 months old and he was only 28. My heart was so honored that I was asked to take pictures of this beautiful baby as it was. Every time I look at her gallery, my heart breaks for her and I say a prayer for her.

Last week, I received a payment for an order I did for Annabelle's Grandmother (her Daddy's mom). With the payment, I received the following letter:

Dear April,

Please find the enclosed check for the photography work you created of our granddaughter Annabelle. You captured not only her sweet baby innocence, but gave us fleeting glimpses of here daddy. He lives now for us in memory and in her. We will treasure your creations always.

Sincerely....

I believe that says it all. When one of my photographs touch someone's heart in this way, I know that I am fulfilling my passion with a greater purpose.

To see more pictures of sweet Annabelle, go to Photography by April Williams and click on Clients and then click on her gallery. She will steal your heart!

Ella's Kitchen

Ella finally got her kitchen that was supposed to be her birthday present (you know, her birthday was last month!). Anyway, we got this great kitchen set through points that Bry earned from work and we got this for FREE!! Ok...it took some hard work on Daddy's part, but to me, it seems free since it doesn't hit my budget! ;-)

Bry and I put this together while she was napping the other day. When she got up and saw it, she got soooo excited. I should have videoed her reaction! She kept saying: "Ewwa's kitchen!" And then she would say: "I cookin' Mommy! I cookin' aroni" That would be macaroni for those of you that don't know Ella language! ;-)

Check out her cute apron that my dear friend Mands (Mandy) made for her for her birthday! Just too cute for words.

I must admit that my boys love to play with the kitchen just as much as she does! I can't wait to start doing tea parties with her.

Mother and Daughter

I had to share this picture of me and my sweet Ella from the beach. I couldn't get the boys to take a picture with me. Total bummer, but that's ok...maybe next time.

Ella loves her mommy so much. She is always glad to sit with me and cuddle and just be with me no matter what I am doing. I honestly love that with all my heart! I try to enjoy every moment of it as I know one day she may not want to be next to me!

I also had to share a sweet moment of Ella with her Daddy! He just adores her and she is the apple of his eye. She loves her Daddy too. She is always excited to see him. I pray they have this sweet look for each other for the rest of their lives.

I have to share a quick story about Ella. I went to visit a friend last week with Ella. On the trip, she was watching her Baby Faith movies. If you don't have these for your toddler, you must get them, they are awesome! Anyway, throughout the entire video, it says "God loves you!" She started repeating it every time they said it. The video would say: "God loves you." And Ella would say: "God wuves ewe!" It was priceless. I have to admit, it brought tears to my eyes!

Last night before she went to bed, she was saying good night to Cole and she told him that God loves him. He simply replied: "I know Ella!" It was too sweet. He just had that child like faith that he knew God loved him. Oh to keep that child like faith for the rest of his life.

Beach Pictures

Here are a couple of pictures from the beach from last month. The kids had a blast and so did we. We went with 3 other families and we all stayed in the same house. We had a great time and would do it all over again!

This vacation was much needed for Bry and I. We hadn't had a vacation in 3 years. That's a long time. We are looking forward to many more vacations with our family in the years to come.

Cole loved being in the pool we had at the house. Reid loved going to the beach looking for seashells. He brought back quite the collection. Ella just loved being in water...she didn't care where!

Look how high Daddy was throwing the boys! They were having a blast with this and LOVED that mommy got a picture of it.

Oh my...who travels with this many kids? Oh yeah...that would be us! All the sweet kiddos that were with us. Is it scary that almost 1/2 them are mine?? We had a great time with them all and they loved having their friends there all day every day.

The lovely ladies of the trip! This was our girl's night out!

Just a sweet picture of Ella. I love this and had to share!
All of the Adults that were there. Course we were just as big of kids as the kiddos were!
This is about as good as it gets with taking a picture of 3 kids. Can't ever get my own kids to look at me and smile. Oh well...they are still cute little stinkers!
I set the camera settings up and turned it over to our friend Ross. He actually got a great shot of our family!!! What a blessed family!
